2-sided (Movement side/Dial side) Pendant only - DOES NOT INCLUDE CHAIN

This pendant is 2.2" (55mm) tall (including bail) x 1.7" (43mm) wide x .34" thick (9mm) - and weighs 1.0 ounce (30 grams)

Made from a re-purposed Lever Fusee pocket watch main plate and components that was fabricated by William Webb of London, England in approximately 1860 (Circa 1945 to 1870 based on other works by this watchmaker).

This is an original antique Lever Fusee pocket watch main-plate with ornately hand-carved balance cock and all original components intact. After acquiring this piece, I fully disassemble the watch and down to the individual components - then I ink in the type and mount it on my lathe to spin the brass parts and etch a circular pattern to the flat and carved parts that leaves a pattern that bounces the light off of the otherwise (fairly) dull 160+ year old brass. I also polish up the balance cock (ornate pierced piece on top that covers the balance wheel) and and the steel balance wheel. I drill out the holes where pillars and assembly pins are now missing, and add Swarovski crystals to the holes before re-assembling and coating the finished piece with smooth and clear epoxy resin, which preserves the shine and beauty and eliminates the chance of clothes and hair from snagging in the pendant.

The Lever Fusee main plate and dial (reverse side) are mounted to a 1/16" thick acrylic disc that has been cut out to fit the gold plated bail inside - thus the bail is a secure and permanent part of the pendant that will never come undone.

The ornately etched Sterling Silver Dial on the back side is not original to this movement plate, but is correct for the period. There are 13 Black Diamond Iridescent Swarovski crystal rhinestones, a period correct Fusee brass drive wheel and a vintage aluminum moon-phase plate off of a later model pocket watch - all of which is top coated with a smooth and clear epoxy resin that will preserve this beautiful piece for decades to come.
