Antique Timepiece (Steampunk) - ONE OF A KIND - Medium Weight Tibetan Style Support Spindle No.122

WEIGHT/DIMENSIONS: 1.6 oz. (46g), Whorl dia. 1.73” x 8.6" Length (44mm x 21.8cm),
This is the Larger Diameter (of the 2 that I make) Shaft = .137" (3.5mm) in Plum Velvet

Made from 52 individual pieces, this unique, over-the-rainbow support spindle is made from a Circa 1900, US Made, Poecelain-Enamel, Ingersoll Watch Company "Reliance" pocket watch dial that has been specially prepared and a vibrant rainbow artwork has been applied. Additionally, there are 26 rainbow and clear Preciasa (Czech) Crystal Rhinestones, an antique balance wheel, and several other authentic vintage watch gears and wheels applied to the surface, which is then coated with a thick layer of epoxy resin for a long life/no-snag surface. The whorl is made from the now Steampunk Style Dial, a real gold plated (satin finish) alloy pendant, and a large vintage brass clock gear that are laminated together and mounted onto a Plum Velvet colored steel shaft with a heat forged hook and is finished off with two small multi-crystal spacer beads and silver plated findings. This is an amazing heavier weight spinner that will work great for spinning cotton, as well as most other short and fine longer staple fibers. The shaft is made from spring steel with a heat forged hook and is colored with a 2-coat hi-temperature powder-coat paint and all components are mounted with industrial 2-part epoxy.
