Balanced to Perfection! This is a medium weight Tahkli Size Support Spindle with plenty of rim weight for a good long spin... good for spinning a wide variety of short and longer staple fine fibers.
Made from 24 individual pieces, this spindle's centerpiece is a circa 1960 Swiss Made "Carlisle DELUXE" men's wristwatch dial that is adorned with authentic watch winding and drive gears and Siam AB colored Swarovski crystal rhinestones - then covered in a thick layer of epoxy top coat resin for a no-snag/long life finish. The dial is mounted to three vintage brass clock gears and a US copper clad 50 cent coin to make up the whorl, and the bottom side is adorned with a large gold plated bead cap with 6 Light Colorado Topaz color Preciosa Czech crystal rhinestones inside and finished off (top and bottom sides) with gold and silver plated findings - all mounted to a Champagne color powder-coat painted steel shaft with a heat forged hook. All components are assembled with an industrial 2-part epoxy adhesive.
