- Gold Plated Aztec Calendar Alloy Whorl with a Bright Silver Plated Pendant and Gold Plated Bead Cap mounted to a Larger Diameter Un-Coated Steel Shaft with Gold Plated Findings

- This Tibetan Style Support Spindle is made with a finely detailed gold plated Aztec Calendar Alloy Coin Whorl. It is mounted onto a .125" (3.2mm) diameter raw/uncoated high-carbon/spring steel shaft with a heat forged hook - along with a bright silver plated pendant, a large gold plated 6-petal bead cap, and gold plated findings at top and bottom sides. This is a very well balanced heavier weight support spindle that uses the larger of the two shafts that I make and the whorl has an abundance of rim weight - so this spindle will be perfect for spinning a wide variety of finer and long staple fibers. All parts are mounted with industrial 2-part epoxy and the shaft is oil coated with a rust inhibitor spray.
CARE: The spindle and all components can be cleaned with mild soap and water. The raw/uncoated shaft may develop a rust patina haze over time and this can be removed with a scotchbrite type polishing pad and re-treated with household lubricant spray.
NO-HOOK OPTION: Choose at drop down when ordering - may remove up to 1/2" of total length on pre-made support spindles
