- This Tibetan Style Support Spindle is made with two 2" diameter golden tone/plated alloy pendants with a 1/16" thick acrylic disc laminated between them for a whorl. This whorl is mounted to a .125" (3.2mm) diameter raw/uncoated high-carbon/spring steel shaft with a heat forged hook at the top and it is finished off (top and bottom sides) with two gold plated multi-crystal bead spacers and two gold plated 6-petal bead caps that help to lock it all into the specially prepared shaft.
- This is a very well balanced heavier weight support spindle that uses the larger of the two shafts that I make and the whorl has an abundance of rim weight - so this spindle will be perfect for spinning a wide variety of finer and long staple fibers. All parts are mounted with industrial 2-part epoxy.
