The centerpiece, and a gorgeous example of old world craftsmanship, is an ornate hand-carved/pierced c.1820 English Verge Fusee balance cock (part that covers/pivot point for the balance wheel) that's repurposed into an heirloom piece of jewelry. It is cut free from its mounting plate, contour polished, metallic foil added underneath, then mounted to a c.1900 gold and silver plated brass Elgin pocket watch dial - along with an antique watch gear and 12 Purple Velvet Swarovski crystal rhinestones - then coated in a thick layer of epoxy resin for a no-snag/smooth and long life finish.
The dial is mounted to a small clock winding barrel spacer with Tanzanite and clear crystals, which is mounted to a vintage brass clock gear and a 1/16" acrylic disc that has a cut-out for the gold plated bail. A pour of purple mica tinted epoxy completely encapsulates the bail and acrylic disc, which makes it a permanent part of the pendant and the edge is polished to a smooth finish. The larger diameter bail will fit most chains without the need for additional mounting rings.
