Weight: 0.9 ounce (26 grams), Whorl: Acrylic .27” x 1.75” (6.9mm x 45mm)
Shaft: 3/32” dia. Metallic Black-Gold x Overall Length: 8.75” (22.2cm)

This STEAMPUNK Drop Spindle design stems from the use of an Ingersoll Watch Company pocket watch dial that was made in the USA right around 1917. The dial is embellished with a large antique drive wheel, polished steel winding gears, smaller brass drive gears, levers, two Swarovski crystal rhinestones and a large ruby watch jewel in the center of the second hand dial. The dial is coated with epoxy resin to give the appearance of a watch crystal and it is permanently mounted to a 1/8" thick x 1.75" diameter acrylic disc that has been edge milled to a smooth surface.

The shaft is made from high carbon (spring) steel with a forged hook that has a 2-part powder coat paint finish applied for a beautiful look and feel. All components are assembled with an industrial 2-part epoxy glue.

The bottom side of this top-whorl drop spindle has a gold plated 1" diameter bead cap and 6 Topaz AB Swarovsi Crystal rhinestones mounted to the surface and is finished off with gold plated findings. This is a wonderful light and rim weighted spindle that spins great.
